Dear all,
here is my tuned XFree86 4.3.0 configuration for my Centrino X31
notebook. I've set up threee layout for the pair LCD/CRT monitors:
single screen (clone), dual monitor (separated), dual head (joint).
To start each layout, simply issue the following commands:
Single Screen ----> startx
Dual Monitor -----> startx -- -layout DualMonitor
Dual Head --------> startx -- -layout DualHead
This was tested on a Gentoo XFree86 configuration. Comments and
suggestions are welcome.
I started tuning the thing because tomorrow I've my very first
presentation with my new notebook and I cannot use external display at
maximum resolution with my University projector. It works just fine with
my home CRT monitor so I think it's a probe problem...
Any suggestion is welcome...
